Martial arts instructors come in all shapes and sizes, from all sorts of backgrounds, physical abilities, personalities and more.
For the past few weeks, I have shared with you stories from several martial artists, all who started martial arts classes for different reasons, who became martial arts instructors.
Here is a story of one person who went from an overweight video gamer to martial arts instructor, completely changing their body and their life in the process:
“I first became interested in martial arts growing up playing mortal kombat and always wanted to try it. When I was 17 I was overweight, weighing in at 230 lbs.
Within 9 months of training I was down 50 lbs. to 180 lbs. Martial arts not only changed my physique entirely, but gave me a whole new perspective on how the world could be viewed; a more thought provoking, humbling and always striving for personal improvement approach.
I was one of those who did not like to read, but after joining the instructor program I was mentally rewired to a much more personable version of me.
I went from being uncomfortable if a person stood too close to me to people now asking me how I am so charismatic with people. Even if I stopped training this instant, I am forever changed and improved thanks to the martial arts and Z-Ultimate.”
This is another great example of how martial arts classes can change your body and your life. Keep training hard and watch what happens for you!
