Most dojos (Japanese term for "school" or "training hall") offer group classes only. What makes us unique is our Dynamic Mastery Method of Instruction™ - world-class private instruction combined with age-specific group classes.

This format allows us to customize our programs to fit your age, skill, physical abilities and goals. This combination also allows students to learn and earn belt ranks at their fastest, most efficient speed instead of only learning as quickly as the slowest person in the group.

"Ultimate" Kenpo is a blended style that takes the "best of the best" from Karate, Kung Fu and Jiu Jitsu and combines it into one system that works in almost any situation and is adaptable to any body style.

This combination of the Classical, Practical and Tactical aspects from each style forms a system that teaches you how to defend yourself on your feet or on the ground; empty-handed or against a weapon.

In addition to our ability to customize our program to fit your unique needs, goals and abilities, our classes are also separated by age. We do this so we can tailor the instruction to the needs of each age group.

Children, teens and adults are all at different physical and mental development stages. With Z-Ultimate Self Defense Studios, the focus of the material and HOW we teach is modified to fit the needs and goals of each age group.

Our adult martial arts program teaches practical self defense through a comprehensive system combining karate, kung fu, and jiujitsu. You'll get functionally fit while developing invaluable, life-saving skills.

Unlike crowded group classes at traditional schools, we specialize in private and semi-private instruction (1-4 students per session). You get personalized coaching, progress at your own pace, and achieve results 2-3 times faster.

Through our karate, kung fu, and jiujitsu curriculum—taught in small groups of just 1-4 students—children develop self-confidence, resilience, and an 'I-will-never-quit' mentality. They also build essential skills: focus, listening, body control, balance, coordination, and social confidence.

Our program works for ALL kids—especially those who struggle in traditional settings. Our personalized instruction approach is one of the few programs that can be fully customized for children with ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, sensory processing challenges, or who simply learn differently. In large group classes, these kids often get lost or frustrated. With us, instruction is tailored to your child's unique needs, learning style, and pace. Whether your child is shy, energetic, needs repetition, or requires modified instruction, they'll receive the individual attention and adaptations they need to succeed.

Will martial arts make my child aggressive? No. Our program helps children find balance. Bullies learn empathy, shy kids come out of their shells, and hyperactive children develop self-control. Every child learns our first rule: 'Keep your punches and kicks to yourself.' Martial arts skills are only for training at the dojo, practicing at home, or self-defense situations (which we all hope never happen).

Because we offer a combination of private and group training, our program is easy to fit into any busy schedule. Private lessons are available by appointment so you can schedule them any time. Group classes are offered six days a week.

For convenience, you can pick a set time each week for your private training, so it is easy to schedule and remember. For group training, you can pick the same class times each week or vary the times if it is easier on your schedule.
