The Forbidden City

The imperial palace for twenty­four emperers during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it is located in the center of Beijing, consists of 980 buildings, covers 180 acres, is home to the Palace Museum and a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Great Wall

Considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and observable from space stations orbiting the Earth, the 5,500 mile­long Great Wall of China was started in 7 BC to protect the Chinese states and empires from invasion. If you include the natural defensive barriers and and branches, the Wall measures a total of 13,171 miles.

The UNESCO World Heritage group calls the Summer Palace, “A masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design.” Started in 1153, it is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces that covers over a mile.
